Surfaces to which carbon lamels are to be applied must be durable and prepped with abrasive methods for sufficient adhesion. The surface must be free of defects, imperfections, protrusions and cavities. Before applying the adhesive, a thorough dusting is carried out. No moisture should remain on the surface during operation.
Spread Xwrap Lamel carbon lamels on a clean table and thoroughly clean the surface with acetone or any other suitable solvent to remove contaminants. After surface treatment take a technological break for not less than 30 min until the solvent evaporates completely. Well-mixed Xwrap Resin Laminate+ adhesive is applied in a layer of at least 1 mm on the pre-prepared surface, then the adhesive is applied to the lamel surface with a thickness of 1.5 mm or more, and then wait some time to achieve maximum adhesion. The carbon lamels are applied to the previously prepared and adhesive-coated reinforced element within the specified gel time of the epoxy adhesive. A rubber roller is used to press the lamel tightly to remove excess adhesive. Remove excess adhesive covering the edges of the lamel.
